Richard Alexander Hargrove, 77

HERMITAGE -- Funeral services have been scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 17 at the Hermitage Church of God for Mr. Hargrove, 77, of Hermitage.

A painter and a US Air Force veteran, Mr. Hargrove died Sept. 14, 2008 at his residence.

Known as "Pee Wee" to his friends and family, he was the son of the late Jessie and Lera Forster Hargrove and was a member of Cumberland Lodge No. 8 (Free & Accepted Masons), the Al Menah Shrine Temple and the Grace Place Church of God.

The family will receive friends Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the funeral. Burial will be at the Spring Hill Cemetery with Military Honors.

Survivors include: wife Juanita Hargrove of Hermitage; children Rita (Ken) Sweeney, Janie (Charlie) Newby of Lebanon, Tom (Penny) Hargrove of Ashland City, Gina Sanders of Murfreesboro, Larry Kimble of Franklin, GA, Dudley Blankenship of Hermitage and Debbie Blankenship of Bethpage.

Also surviving are grandchildren Doug, Scott, Bradley, Christen, Elizabeth, Sarah, Kevin and Ryan; also surviving are eight great, grandchildren; siblings: Barbara Ann Thweatt, Mary Lou Tignor, Faye Johnson, Ginger McEachron, Dan Hargrove, Don Hargrove and Mike Hargrove; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hargrove is preceded in death by brothers Jerry, Wayne and Jessie Thomas Hargrove.

Hunter Funeral Home, Watertown, is in charge of arrangements.
