LEBANON -- Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, July 14 at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Walls, 71, of Lebanon. A US Army veteran and a member of the Hurricane Baptist Church, he died July 11, 2011 at his residence.
The son of the late James Redmon Lafayette Walls Jr. and Callie Lucille Trout Walls; Mr. Walls was a retired press operator with International Paper where he worked for 32 years and a 1958 graduate of Lebanon High School.
Visitation Wednesday between the hours of 4-8 p.m. and Thursday from 12 noon until the service at at Partlow Funeral Chapel.
Services will be conducted by Brother Kenneth Trammel. Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: children James Richard (Victoria) Walls and Linda Dianne Walls; granddaughters Kristina Michelle Walls and Sierra Faith Walls; sisters Betty Jean Hailey, Jamie Faye (Ralph) Brown, Robbie Gordon, Cathy (Bobby) Byers as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
in addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Linda Carline Johnson Walls, daughter Linda Michelle Walls; grandson James Richard Walls Jr.; siblings Claude Rhea Walls, Walter Lee Walls and Lois Helen Walls.
Pallbearers: Danny Walls, Gary Dean Hailey, James Allen Hailey, Jeff Walls, James Leonard “Jimmy” Walls and Ronald Walls. Honorary: the LHS Class of 1958 and the Senior Men’s Sunday School Class of Hurricane Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family request contributions may be made in Mr. Walls memory to the Hurricane Baptist Church, 2461 Hurricane Creek Road, Lebanon, 37090 or to The March of Dimes. Arrangements by Partlow Funeral Chapel, Lebanon.
