We have contacted the residents affected by the specific street closures and want to publically thank them for their understanding and support, Jasper said. The folks at Lebanon Public Safety have been a great help to us. We thank them for their help with event day logistics and for allowing us to close certain streets in town to accommodate this event.
The Sherrys Run 5K course, which begins at the Sherrys Run Event Site, 623 West Main Street in Lebanon, will head east on West Main Street, travel north on North Greenwood Street, passing the historic Woolen Mills to U. S. 70 North By-Pass (also known as Baddour Parkway); then heading west on the By-Pass to North Castle Heights Avenue traveling south to Hill Street.
At Hill Street, walkers may choose to continue on North Castle Heights returning to the Sherrys Run Event Site or continue on the race course onto Hill Street. Runners on the other hand will turn left onto Hill Street, traveling east again to North Greenwood Street, then south to West Main Street where they will travel west returning to the Runners Finish Line at the Sherrys Run Event site. Please refer to the Sherrys Run 5K Course Map for specifics on the website at www.SherrysRun.org.
Sherrys Run is one of Wilson Countys largest events. We are honored that the event has been so successful and are very excited about the future. We want to take the opportunity to be even better to become a premier run a destination for runners from across the State of Tennessee. We are enthusiastic about the race enhancements and want to meet our participants needs and make it safe and fun for them. The course design offers participants a safe course - one which we hope will be a real crowd pleaser, Jasper added.
Sherrys Run gets under way at 8 a.m. on Saturday, beside the main office of Wilson Bank & Trust, 623 West Main Street. Mark your calendar and make a commitment to join participants. Registration is open now. Log on to www.SherrysRun.org to sign up.
