Funeral services have been scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at the Partlow Funeral Chapel for Mr. Brown, 85, of Lebanon. A retired USAF Master Sgt., "Daddy Brown" died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014.
He was a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ, and a retired Quality Control Engineer with TRW.
While in the USAF, Mr. Brown served in the Korean War, Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam War. He was part of the 465 Missile Squardron and awarded the Presidential Citation.
Visitation for will be held Friday from 11 a.m. until the funeral. Services will be conducted by Bro. F.H. Gates and Bro. Barry Keene. Burial with full military honors will be held at the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: his wife of 58 years Chlorene Walker Brown and children Wendell Brown, Wayland Brown, Marlette Brown (Cancel) Carey and Andrea Brown (Charles) Teasley.
Also surviving are grandchildren Bradley Carey, Brandon (Jessica) Carey, Tanya (Alan) Miller and Vanessa Mancera; great grandchildren Wyatt Carey, Gracie Carey and Rieley Carey.
Mr. Brown is preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Willie Cyphus Fulks Brown; siblings Buster, Stanley and Brooks Brown, Frances Goodson and Alma Verner.
Active pallbearers: Cancel Carey, Charles Teasley, Bradley Carey, Wyatt Carey, Brandon Carey, Alan Miller and Larry Walker.
The family offers a special thank you to the medical staff of Centennial Medical Center, Dr. Deepinder Bal and Dr. Michael Carlson.
The family request contributions may be made in Mr. Brown's memory to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, 410 Allied Drive, Nashville, 37211.
