Robert Henry Bloodworth, 68

Retired as an engineer from AVCO / Textron Aerostructures, Mr. Bloodworth died April 8, 2008 at the Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin.

A native of the LaGuardo Community, he was the son of the late Henry Louis and Evelyn Anderson Bloodworth and a member of the LaGuardo Church of Christ.

He attended Cumberland University and Vanderbilt University and was a member of Lodge No. 98, Free and Accepted Masons.

The family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. until the funeral.

Services will be conducted by Brother Julious Hovan, Brother Hugh Fulford and Brother Harold Young. Burial will be at the Bloodworth Family Cemetery in LaGuardo.

Survivors: wife Willadean Masters Bloodworth; son Tony (Melissa) Porter-Bloodworth of Mt. Juliet; step daughter Debbie Porter of Chapmansboro; sister Ann Bloodworth Boyd of LaGuardo; several nieces and nephews; four step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren and foster brother Henry Wills.

Active pallbearers: Brent and Dylan Boyd, Steve Crocker, Stacy Meadows, Randy Oatsvall and Bill Wilson. Honorary: Robert Beasley and William “Smitty” Smith.

Ligon - Bobo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
