“Robert was picked by a large majority of those in the meeting who said he was one person they could all get along with and one who knew what he was doing,” Jewell said.
Born July 18, 1942, in Macon County, Mr. Robinson was raised by his devoted grandparents Alex and Emily Key Raines. He was a member of the Lighthouse Missionary Baptist Church.
Services were conducted by Eld. Danny Raines and Eld. Jerry Boze. Interment followed at the Conatser Cemetery.
Survivors include: his wife of over 47 years Kathy Goolsby Robinson; children Tina (Anthony) Driver and Bobby (Rhonda) Robinson. Also surviving are grandchildren Spencer Fields and Savannah Elizabeth Robinson; step grandchildren Keshia Binion and Dusty Driver; step great grandchildren Jordan Bayne and Nathan Binion all of Lebanon; siblings Louise Otto of Smyrna, Virgie Pharris, Dean Phillip, Hazel Davenport, Chanie Raines, Sammie Raines and Jimmy Raines — all of Lebanon.
In addition to his grandparents, he was preceded in death by his mother, Bunia Mai Raines Anderson and sister Lexie Fish.
