Donation to attend the brunch and celebration is $25, and all proceeds go toward restoration of Historic Pickett Chapel, on East Market Street, the oldest brick building in Lebanon. The Wilson County Black History Committee purchased the building in 2007. When the restoration project is complete, Historic Pickett Chapel will house the Roy Bailey African American History Center, and will serve as a resource for the entire Lebanon community.

Tickets to the MLK Celebration are available at the Roy Bailey African American Museum, 115 East Main Street; the Lebanon/Wilson County Chamber of Commerce, 149 Public Square, from members of the Wilson County Black History Committee, and at the door.

New Christian Life Church is at 801 Bluebird Road in Lebanon. For more information, call 449-2911 or 739-2283.
