Saints blank Pickett County

MT. JULIET  -- Mt. Juliet Christian Academy rolled up 344 yards in total offense in a 41-0 homecoming win over winless Pickett County at Suey Field Friday, Oct. 11.
The Saints improved to 2-5 with the victory as junior quarterback Rik Van Male completed 15-of-33 passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns.
Senior Andy Pitman rushed 15 times for 74 yards and a pair of scores. Samuel Eastin joined in the fun with 39 yards on six carries and a touchdown while Alex Pitman chipped in with a 46-yard scoring sprint.

Zack Jones caught three passes for 56 yards and a touchdown. Race McLean caught five balls for 30 yards and a TD.

Dawson Perry and Collin Keith each recovered Bobcat fumbles while Gilbert Russ had a quarterback sack to pace a MJCA defensive effort that limited Pickett County to just 123 yards in total offense -- including zero passing yards.

The Saints will be back in action Thursday, Oct. 18 as they travel to Seymour to take on The King’s Academy.
