Saturday funeral set for Ann Birdwell

Former owner of Snow White Drive-Inn
Ann Doherty Birdwell, former owner of Lebanon's Snow White Drive-In, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 following an extended illness.

Preceded in death by her late husband Everett Birdwell, she recently celebrated her 73rd birthday.

The family will receive friends at Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon, Friday, Jan. 31 between the hours of 2-8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 1 from 11 a.m. until the 2 p.m. service.

Interment will follow in LaGuardo Cemetery. Active pallbearers: Michael Lehew, Chris Lehew, Andy Adsmond, Ernie Adsmond, Tim Edmonds and Henry Edmonds. Honorary:  Staff of Snow White Drive-In, Veterans & Staff of Tennessee State Veterans Home, Roger McKinney and Jimmy Reed.

In addition to her husband, Ann was preceded in death by son-in-law Ernest Adsmond and siblings Jack and Jim Doherty, and Rose Lester -- all of New York.

She is survived by children: Billy (Kathy) Wyatt, Patty (Curtis) Lehew, Edie (Paul) Oats and Sandra Edmonds -- all of Wilson County; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild along with very special friends Judy Williams, Roger McKinney, Frank Coven and Henry Nixon.

Arrangements are in the care of Lebanon's Sellars Funeral Home.
