Funeral services were held Saturday morning, Dec. 28 at the Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon, for Capt. Jerry T. Pruitte, 58.
Retired after 31 years as a law enforcement officer with the Lebanon Police Department and an avid outdoorsman, he died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2103 following an extended illness.
Funeral services were conducted by Brother Gordon Lee and assisted by Brother Danny Sellars. Interment followed at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.
The Lebanon Police Department Honor Guard served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers included: The Prayer Warriors Class at the Church of God Worship and Ministry Center, Dr. John Williams and the staff at Baptist Hospital.

Survivors include: his wife of 40 years, Marcia Herron Pruitte; children Tracy (Michael) Underwood, Jerimy (Tiffany) Pruitte, and Jason (Brooke) Pruitte; brother Vincent Pruitte; sister-in-law Missy (Adam) Spears; brother-in-law Danny (Elaine) Herron; mother-in-law Sara Herron; grandchildren Bryson, Molli Anne, and Evyn Underwood, and Jakob and Jared Pruitte; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by parents William and Anne Hearn Pruitte, and sister Kimberly Pruitte.
Arrangements were in the care of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon.
