Severe T-storm warning extended

A severe thunderstorm warning for southeastern Wilson County has been extended until 2:45 p.m. by the National Weather Service Office in Old Hickory.

NWS meteorologists detected a severe thunderstorm at 2:10 p.m. capable of producing 1-inch diameter hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. The storm was near Watertown, moving southeast at 35 mph.

Seek shelter in a sturdy building and stay away from windows.
