Shirley Frank Greene, 86

LEBANON -- A memorial service was held Tuesday evening, Jan. 11 in the Partlow Chapel for Mr. Greene, 86, of Lebanon.
Known as "Pop" to his family and friends, Mr. Greene died Friday Jan. 7, 2011 in the Quality Health Care Center.
A decorated World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a member of the 738th Tank Battalion.
Mr. Greene was a very successful businessman in the textile manufacturing industry, traveling the world during his career.
Services were conducted by Chaplain Judy Gray.
Survivors include: sons Dana (Heidi) Morton, Joe Morton, Rick Cooke, Ken Cooke; sister Charlotte (Harry) Preston; granddaughter Cherrie Ron) Long; great grandsons, Joey Bly and Joshua Bly; great great grandson Elijah Bly.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Cherrie McKinney Greene and sister Mary Helen Vanhook.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the American Legion.
