Silent auction grows with Sherry's Run

As the event site at 623 West Main Street begins to come together, so too does the silent auction tent for the 12th annual Sherry's Run.

Sherry's Run Board Member and Auction Committee Chair Tammye Whitaker and her committee work tirelessly throughout the year to secure donations from the organization's generous supporters, and this year is no exception.

This year's silent auction will open at the event site on Friday, Sept. 11 at 2 p.m. for those who want to get an early start on the bidding process. It will continue on Saturday morning from 7 until 9:15 a.m. The silent auction features over 200 items, including home décor pieces, fashion accessories and an assortment of gift certificates. New this year will be a Chattanooga travel package that includes four Chattanooga Aquarium tickets and a one-night stay in the historic Chattanoogan Hotel.

And while there will also be a few items available at a live auction at 9:10 a.m. on Saturday, the main live auction is set to be held as part of a brand new event to be held in February called "Mardi Gras at the Capitol" (formerly known as the Low Country Boil).
