Dear Ken: What can you tell us about Asa Butterfield, the boy who stars in the movie Hugo?

That would be London-born Asa Maxwell Thornton F. Butterfield, 14, who began acting at age 7. Two years later he got his first starring role in the film The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. He then played Mordred in three episodes of the Syfy Channels Merlin, before appearing with Anthony Hopkins in the 2010 film The Wolfman. That same year he also starred as Norman in Nanny McPhee and the Big Band. He next may star as Ender Wiggin in Enders Game, which is slated to begin filming in Louisiana in two months. Butterfield has an older brother, Morgan (a drummer in the English band Oates), and a younger sister. He plays the piano, computer games and squash and enjoys reading. He also has two pet cats.

Dear Ken: In James Garners The Rockford Files TV show, what was Rockfords first name? How many episodes were there?

The detectives name was James (Jim) Scott Rockford. The series ran from 1974 to 1980, and there were 122 episodes and eight TV movies. A pilot for a new version of the series was made in 2010 with Dermot Mulroney playing Rockford. NBC passed on it.

Dear Ken: What has happened to Patricia Heaton who played the wife and mother on Everybody Loves Raymond?

Heaton, 53, currently stars as Frankie Heck on the ABC sitcom The Middle. She and British actor David Hunt have been married since 1990 and have four sons ranging in age from 18 to 12. The divide their time between Los Angeles and Buckinghamshire, England, and they also own a house in Heatons hometown of Bay Village, Ohio.
