Small aircraft crash on Kent Drive in Lebanon

According to eyewitnesses on the scene, a small aircraft crashed near the Lebanon Municipal Airport.

The crash was determined as 802 Kent Drive, near Castle Heights Avenue.

One man was inside the aircraft, a glider-type or ultralight, as described by police.

Mark Harrell, 56, of Lebanon, was pronounced dead at UMC after the crash.

NTSB and FAA are investigating the crash, according to officials.

The aircraft came down in the backyard of a property owner there, just feet from the home. No one on the ground was injured.

Lebanon Police, Lebanon Fire and Wilson Emergency Management personnel are on the scene.

One eyewitness described what sounded like the engine was having difficulty before seeing smoke from the crash.
