Long live Snow White!
Lebanon’s famous drive-in restaurant is here to stay, said owner Billy Wyatt Wednesday, June 4.
It was announced earlier this year that property owner, Greg Dugdale, had worked a deal and that a Speedway gas station and market were to be built where Snow White is currently located on West Main.
Dugdale had promised Wyatt that he would rebuild the restaurant behind the Speedway station.
“It was still going to take about nine months to rebuild and I can’t be closed that long so I had found a temporary location off Legend’s Drive,” Wyatt told The Wilson Post. “Greg called me yesterday afternoon and it turns out that Speedway backed out.
“Snow White is not going anywhere. We are going to be here for a long time.”
Snow White opened in 1953 and is located at 1714 West Main Street in Lebanon. The restaurant is home to old-fashioned milkshakes, malts, soft-serve ice cream, plate lunches, burgers, hot dogs and barbeque.
