Trinity International started quickly, with Samantha Yasantan finding the back of the net unassisted in the fifth minute. The Trojans accounted for just two shots in the period, but made one count for the early lead. TIU keeper Elizabeth Burzynski made four saves in the first half as well.

The Bulldogs (4-1-0) finally got on the board just after the break, with Nay beating two defenders to a ball down the right side and burying a shot into the upper 90 in the 48th minute.

Less than three minutes later she lofted a cross from the right sideline that became trouble for Burzynski, who tried to pin the ball to the crossbar but was unable to hold on, with the ball falling over the goal line before she could gain complete control.

The Bulldogs controlled possession for much of the half, forcing three more saves by Burzynski. The Trojans last efforts were foiled by a Kitson save in traffic in the final minute, giving CU its second straight victory and third in four home matches this season.
