Lady Commanders stand 22-5
Friendship Christian's Lady Commanders will take a record of 22-5 into a 12 Noon Saturday home doubleheader vs. Division II rival Knoxville Webb.

Coach Jody Atwood's club improved to 7-0 in the East-Middle District following an 8-0 home win over Ezell-Harding Wednesday.

Courtney Petty got the decision with six innings of work, striking out 11 before giving way to Tana Whited in the seventh. Petty helped her own cause by reaching base four times -- with three walks and a single.

Courtney Miles drove in three runs with a double, a single and a sacrifice fly. Brice Dabbs and Jordon Burton each chipped in with run-scoring double.

Friendship 18, MJ Christian 0
MT. JULIET -- Kendal Kelsh threw a three-inning perfect game Tuesday as Friendship Christian rolled past Mt. Juliet Christian Academy 18-0.
Kelsh struck out seven and faced only nine batters as FCS improved to 21-5 overall and 6-0 in Division II.

Dabbs had three singles and drove in five runs to lead Friendship's 16-hit attack.

Oakland 6, Wilson Central 4
GLADEVILLE -- Oakland High came up with three runs in the top of the 10th inning to take a thrilling 6-4 victory over Wilson Central Wednesday evening.

Katie Eakes staked the Lady Wildcats to a 2-0 lead with a two-run double in the bottom of the third, plating Claire Smith who had doubled and Brooke Pfefferle who had reached on a walk.

Oakland bounced back with a run of their own off Central's Morgan Powell, who allowed just hit in four innings while striking out four batters.

The Lady Patriots scored two in the top of the sixth off reliever Hannah Bodenhorn. Central tied the game at 3-all on Shelby Woodard's RBI double.

Wilson Central fell to 16-5 on the season heading into a Thursday evening game at District 9-AAA rival Lebanon.

Tuesday, April 14 Wilson Central will travel to Gallatin to take on Station Camp High in a 5 p.m. contest.

Mt. Juliet 12, Gallatin 0
Mt. JULIET -- Savannah Sanders came within one out of throwing a perfect game in Mt. Juliet's 12-0 home win over Gallatin Wednesday afternoon.

Sanders walked only one batter, with two outs in the top of the fifth. She struck out 14 in throwing the no-hitter.

Desiree Kasper drilled three of Mt. Juliet's 16 hits. Kristen Hammer and Kristen Mason each had two hits for the Lady Bears, now 11-2 overall and 4-1 in District 9-AAA

Watertown 8, Gallatin 4
WATERTOWN -- Shelby Hamlet and Bailey Griffin each slugged homers as Watertown doubled-up visiting Gallatin 8-4 Tuesday.

Now 8-6 on the season, Watertown got a solid pitching performance from Brittney Pryor who scattered eight hits and struck out four.

Arron Cherry and Griffin paced the Lady Tiger attack with three hits apiece. Mackenzie Taylor and Hamlet finished with two hits apiece.
