Jr. Beta Club officers from Southside Elementary recently presented a service project at the Beta Leadership Summit in Sevierville and qualified for the national convention. Their service project is called the New Student Welcome Committee and will see Jr. Beta members personally greet and deliver welcome kits to new students each Friday. At the end of every nine weeks, the club will host a New Southside Family Night for parents to meet with counselors and/or administrators while new students participate in team-building activities with Jr. Beta members, according to SEEK Instructor Angie Pulley.
