Mt. Juliet 5, Lebanon 3 --
MT. JULIET -- The Lady Bears prepped for Friday night's opening round action of the Cookeville / Duff tournament with a 5-3 victory Thursday over Lebanon.

Mt. Juliet improved to 21-8-1 overall and 7-0 in District 9AAA while LHS slipped to 11-14-1 / 2-6. The Lady Bears scored three in the second and tacked on two more in the third inning, then had to hold off a seventh inning Lebanon rally.

Madison Taylor and Rachel Atnip had three hits each for the winners. Brittany Nagelhout and Katlin Eakes had a pir of hits each for the Lady Devils.

Savannah Sanders got the win for Mt. Juliet, scattering five hits with four strikeouts and two walks. Betheny Anderson surrendered 12 Mt. Juliet hits, striking out one and did not walk a batter.

Wilson Central 7, Gallatin 0 --
LEBANON -- Wilson Central climbed to 26-12 on the season following Thursday's 7-0 victory over District 9AAA victory over Gallatin.

Hannah Bodenhorn (11-5) threw a complete game three-hitter, while striking out 15.

Ashley Eldridge led the Lady Wildcats with three hits and scored two runs while Kaitlyn Clark and Lauren Stavinoga each chipped in with two hits.

Central -  100 051 X - 7 runs, 10 hits

Friendship 10, Red Boiling Springs 1 --
RED BOILING SPRINGS -- Pitchers Hunter Holland and Tana Whited combined to limit RBS to six hits in Friendship Christian's 10-1 softball victory over the Lady Bulldogs Thursday.

FCS improved to 14-12 overall and 6-1 in District 8A.

Nursing a 3-0 lead, FCS broke the game open with a 5-spot in the top of the fifth inning as Megan reeves belted a run scoring triple, followed by RBI doubles from Holland and Brittany Petry.

Friendship will be in action this weekend in the TN-KY Border Battle at Buchanan Park in Bowling Green, KY.

MJ Christian 10, FRA 0 --
MT. JULIET -- Brianna Caldwell scattered 11 hits, but allowed no runs in Thursday's 10-0 Mt. Juliet Christian Academy win over visiting Franklin Road Academy.

The Lady Saints upped their record to 10-7 overall and 4-4 in the East-Middle region of TSSAA Division II.

Caldwell struck out eight batters with no walks in the six-inning contest. Sudrey Hess had three singles for the Lady Saints, who will host University School of Nashville Monday, April 23 at 4:30p.m.
