WILSON CENTRAL STANDS 18-0
Wilson Central's wrestling team improved to 18-0 with a pair of wins Tuesday evening in Franklin. Presently ranked No. 3 in the state, the Wildcats defeated host Independence High 66-16, then topped Antioch 72-5.

On Saturday, Central will travel to Shackle Island to participate in the Beech Individual Tournament.

Wildcat sophomore John Kramer (220 lbs) is presently ranked No. 8 nationally ninth and tenth graders in the latest edition of Wrestling USA Magazine.

Lebanon High will also be sending wrestlers to Saturday's event at Beech High School.

The Blue Devils dropped a pair of dual matches Tuesday evening at home, falling 78-0 to Oakland High and 60-14 to Forrest.

Three LHS wrestlers registered wins against the Rockets, including: Jordan Benford in an 18-3 technical fall over Peyton Sisk at 126 lbs; Thomas Thurston in a pin over Clepper Watson 1:54 at 138 lbs and Dustin Garner a 17-15 decision over Ivan Wentzel at 145 lbs.
