FRANKLIN -- Wilson Central ran into a buzzsaw in Saturday night's Class AAA State Duals finals -- falling to powerful Cleveland 78-4 at the Williamson County Expo Center.

Cleveland recorded a mind-boggling 13 pins out of the 14 weight classes with WCHS soph John Kramer pulling out the lone win for the Wildcats --  a 14-2 major decision over John Gaither in the 220-pound class.

In the four meets Cleveland wrestled at the state duals, the Blue Raiders lost only four matches not conceded by forfeit.

Wilson Central finished the dual season 41-3 overall while Cleveland wrapped up the dual season 28-2.

EARLIER SATURDAY -- Wilson Central knocked off defending Class AAA state champ Soddy-Daisy 39-31 in Saturday afternoon's semifinals of the State Duals Wrestling Tournament at the Williamson County Expo Center in Franklin.

Wilson Central became the first non-Region 4 team to reach the championship match since Clarksville in 2006, with the semifinal win over highly favored Soddy-Daisy.

The Wildcats opened the tournament by ripping Knox Bearden 75-3 Friday afternoon, then knocked Ravenwood 49-20 in Friday night's second round.
