Fitness franchise for mothers experiences growth in local community It seems that moms can’t get enough of Stroller Strides, the women’s fitness franchise for moms and mothers-to-be, as the company expands with an additional class location in the Mt Juliet/Lebanon area.

Missy Hurt, owner of both Miss Hurt's Fitness and soon the Lebanon Stroller Strides location, attributes the expansion to the success of the program.

"My decision to open a new Stroller Strides franchise is a testament to the uniqueness of the program, as well as its effectiveness. Our customers enjoy the multiple benefits of both fitness and family," said Hurt, who opened the Stroller Strides franchise in July 2008. "I look forward to offering even more moms and mothers-to-be fitness opportunities."

The new class will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at Don Fox Community Park in Lebanon. The Grand Opening is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 9 a.m. There will be discounts off the registration fee for all participants, and those who join with a friend will receive a special promotional discounted rate.

Classes are currently being held at the Mt Juliet Community Center every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9-10 a.m. Class will move back outdoors at Charlie Daniels Park in spring. It includes power walking and intervals of body toning using exercise tubing and the stroller. Taught by nationally certified instructors, it’s a great workout for any level of exerciser. In 60 minutes, you will get a total body workout improving your cardiovascular endurance, your strength and your flexibility, Hurt said. The classes are equally beneficial for babies as instructors will weave songs through the workout and incorporate activities to make it fun. The classes are offered in parks, health clubs and shopping malls.

In addition to the classes, Stroller Strides offers playgroups and mom’s night out, giving women an opportunity to socialize and further relationships.

"It’s always exciting when we open a new location as it provides an opportunity to offer the program to even more moms -- and even dads -- in the Mt Juliet/Lebanon area. Missy has done a wonderful job growing the business and showing residents how great the Stroller Strides program is," said Lisa Druxman, founder of Stroller Strides.
