Summer Camp 4-H on the horizon

Summer 4-H Camp is fast approaching, and the weeklong camp will make for a fun-filled and enjoyable week for students in the fourth through sixth grades. Wilson County attends Summer 4-H Camp from June 26 through June 30.

The camp offers an assortment of activities, including a team-building challenge course, fishing pond, wildlife walks, leather crafts, canoeing, kayaking, basketball, volleyball, woodshop, archery, swimming and more. Special education activities will also be held daily, allowing youth to learn about such topics as engineering, wildlife and agriculture.

Each day promises special events like the Land Olympics, Talent Show and a campfire complete with stories and S'mores. Campers will enjoy competitions like the rifle competition, archery competition, derby car race, fishing tournament, basketball and more.
