The annual Taste of Wilson County Event is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 6 at The Mill in Lebanon.
The event has moved from last year's location - off the Lebanon Public Square on East Main Street. Although the event was a success, Lebanon Wilson Chamber of Commerce President Melanie Minter wanted to provide folks with more predictability when it comes to the weather this time around.
"We want our food and retail vendors to have a dry place," she said, explaining that last year it rained on the outdoor event. "A Taste of Wilson County has been at The Mill before, and we thought we would bring it back and showcase the venue and stores here."
Cumberland University will be hosting the VIP section and tables are still available for $250 each. The VIP area will be upstairs in the Mill.
Minter said there will still be a grilling competition outside.
"We are focusing more on education - which is what this event benefits," she added. Taste of Wilson County proceeds go to teacher grants, scholarships and Wilson Books from Birth.
Discounted tickets are available for teachers.
The school with the most attendees at a Taste of Wilson County will receive $500.
The event is sponsored by Wilson Bank & Trust, Wilson County Motors and Wilson County Hyundai.
