19 PARCELS ON LIST
Wilson County will conduct a delinquent tax sale at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 13 in the Chancery Courtroom at the Wilson County Judicial Center, located at 134 South College Street, Lebanon.
Potential buyers are encouraged to arrive on time to hear about the terms of a tax sale. Back Tax Attorney Bob Rochelle said he will warn that this is a "buyer beware" sale where the buyer takes much more risk than if buying from a Realtor or an individual.
Potential purchasers are encouraged to thoroughly investigate the parcels before the sale.
The county will sell 19 parcels. A list of the parcels slated for sale may be obtained from the Office of the Clerk and Master.
"There may be parcels paid before the sale date. Of course, they will be dropped from the sale," Rochelle said. "Prospective purchasers should make their own inquiry into the state of the title and condition of each parcel."
The sale is part of the continuing effort by Wilson County and the cities of Lebanon and Watertown to reduce the amount of delinquent taxes owed, he added.
