TBI arrests MJ man for child abuse

Gregory Dewayne Boatwright Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Wilson County man for allegedly abusing his 6-week-old daughter after he was indicted by the Smith County grand jury earlier Wednesday. Gregory Dewayne Boatwright, 21, 60 East Caldwell Street, Mt. Juliet, was indicted on one count of aggravated child abuse. On April 16, Boatwright’s then 6-week old daughter was LifeFlighted to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital with head trauma and other injuries. Boatwright, baby Skye Boatwright and her mother were living at 567 Hiwassee Road in Lebanon where the alleged abuse occurred. Boatwright was booked into the Smith County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
