Reading from the accident report filed by Trooper Mike Tysinger of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Qualls said Hieb, whose address was listed as Mt. Juliet on the document, was driving a two-door 2004 Honda Civic and was headed southbound on Gladeville Road when she lost control of the vehicle and swerved to the left side of the road, overcorrected and began fishtailing from side to side.
The vehicle went off the left side of the road, rotating counter-clockwise and then struck a power pole on its right side. The impact caused the vehicle to then rotate clockwise, ejecting Wille who was riding in the backseat of the car, the report said.
The report noted that Wille, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by LifeFlight helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died from her injuries.
A third passenger in the vehicle, Coty Lewis, 19, of Chapmansboro, was not injured.
The report also noted that Hieb and Coty Lewis were wearing seat belts. Misch-Lewis was not wearing a seat belt. Hieb is to appear in court on Aug. 8.
