I would first like to thank the awesome people at The Wilson Post for allowing me this opportunity to share my voice and to hopefully impact those in the community. I would also like to thank you, the reader, for sharing a few minutes of your precious time with me as I talk all things health and fitness.
If you're familiar with my Mature Lifestyles articles or YouTube videos, it's good to see you! If you're not, let me introduce myself and what I stand for so we can be properly introduced.
My name is Andy Frisch and I am a personal trainer. I work in Lebanon at Sports Village Fitness and own Fresh Evolution Fitness, LLC, an online personal training business. I hold multiple certifications, from nutrition and exercise to behavior modification. While I strongly believe in always pursuing more education, I realize that I'm not what's important. YOU ARE. Without people in need of help, I'm nothing. All the fancy acronyms behind my name mean nothing if I can't connect with you. With this introductory column, I hope to do just that.
People ask me where I got the name Fresh Evolution Fitness. I realize it's a mouthful. Think of how many points it would get in a game of Scrabble! But more than board game domination, there's a much deeper meaning. Let me elaborate. I, like many of us, have had my share of struggles. Also like many of us, they have made me who I am today. I finally realized no matter how bad of a day I was having (or week, month or year for that matter) that every second that passed was an opportunity to turn it all around. Every one a chance to start "Fresh."
I also realized the importance of always moving forward. We have a choice in life. We can either move ahead and progress, bettering ourselves and improving our quality of life along the way... or we can stand still and watch the world pass us by. I realized that evolving in every aspect was crucial because time is constantly moving forward. If we're not moving with it, we'll be passed by as if we were moving backwards. To get the most out of life, we must continue a personal "Evolution."
Staying fit and healthy is the last component of getting the most out of life. As Socrates once said, "...it is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable." Yes, I'm biased, but the fact remains that it is of the utmost importance to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
So there you have it, Fresh Evolution Fitness. Every second of every day is a chance to start again, in the pursuit of self-improvement and the art of becoming the healthiest version of ourselves that we can be. Now that we're properly introduced, I'll be sharing as many thoughts, tips and tidbits about all things health and fitness, with a little humor dashed in, as much as the lovely people at The Wilson Post can handle. Thank you again for joining me. I'll see ya soon!
