Thomas Wendell Saddler, 84

WATERTOWN – Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, September 7 at the Hunter Funeral Home for Mr. Saddler, 84, of Watertown.

A native of Wilson County and a former 30-year employee of the Lebanon Woolen Mills, Mr. Saddler died Sept. 5, 2009 at NHC Health Care in Smithville. A member of the Prosperity Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Thomas Cleve Saddler and Hallie Smith Saddler.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Don Rigsby with burial at the Jennings Cemetery.

Survivors include: brother Carl (Dorothy) Saddler and nephews Keith (Beth) Saddler and Richard (Leslie) Saddler – all of Statesville. Also surviving are great nieces and nephew; sister—in-law Inez Lawrence of Nashville and several Harvey nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Saddler is preceded in death by his wife Frances Harvey Saddler and infant daughter Emily Sue Saddler. Pallbearers included: Keith Saddler, Richard Saddler, Jeremy McPeak, James Hayes, Ted Ray and Floyd Gaddes.

Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
