Scattered storms were expected to continue through the afternoon and tonight, and an isolated severe storm or two could not be ruled out.
Meteorologists noted that the best chance for strong to severe storms will be more toward morning on Wednesday.
Strong thunderstorms were expected to move toward Middle Tennessee late tonight and into early morning, again with strong winds and heavy rainfall the main threats.
They noted that isolated large hail could not be ruled out, and at this timea tornado threat looks very low. It should be emphasized that any thunderstorms that affect Middle Tennessee todaytonight and Wednesday will not nearly be as significant as what occurred yesterday in Oklahoma.
