“I’m impressed with the teachers, staff and parents that I’ve met at MCA,” said Bironas. “I’m glad to offer my help and I hope this will become an annual event.”

Competition will be among individual participants and teams

“We’re really excited about this event,” says Roger Baines of The Gun Room. “Hosting this type of event is an example of one of the ways we are committed to giving back to the community.”

Ashlee Chance, Director of Admissions for MCA, says that the school appreciates local businesses like The Gun Room stepping up to help.

“We appreciate all the sponsors and everyone else involved in making this event happen,” said Chance, adding that private schools like MCA occasionally have to get creative and entertain new ideas regarding fundraising.

In addition to Marini and Bironas, other celebrities scheduled to participate include: Rhean Boyer (Carolina Rain, Rhean & The Restless), Storme Warren (Great American Country), Tennessee Titans Rusty Smith, Sen-Derrick Marks, Craig Stevens, Brett Kern, Ken Amato and Donnie Nickey.

Up to nine people can sign up to shoot with a celebrity. Advance registration is being accepted at The Gun Room, 705 Briskin Lane.  Registration fee is $55 per person. Prizes will be awarded to the top shooter, including a six-month membership to The Gun Room for the overall top scorer.

Shooters will also be able to register for a “Battle Bironas Match”. A fee of $125 pits the shooter against Bironas with anyone beating his score being awarded an autographed NFL football.
