Today's prep softball schedule

The Lady Wildcats then reeled off three straight victories including a 9-7 decision over Blair Academy, NJ then sweeping Weyauwega, WI 9-7 and 11-9.

Mt. Juliet had been scheduled to host McGavock High of Nashville on Monday, but that contest was postponed due to wet grounds and cold weather.

Later this week, MJHS will participate in Riverdale Highs Lady Warrior Southern Classic.

Opening round action is set for Friday, March 29 at Siegel High where the Lady Bears will play Lake Zurich of Illinois at 3 p.m. followed by a 5 p.m. game vs. Genesco, Ill.

FCS visits RBS ThursdayFriendship Christian Schools softball team will be back in action Thursday, March 28 as they travel to Red Boiling Springs.

On Friday, the Lady Commanders will open play at Lafayette in the Macon County Invitational where they will play Burlington Christian Academy of North Carolina. Later Friday, FCS will play host Macon County High School. Pool play will end Saturday against Class AAA Warren County High.

Last week, the Lady Commanders went on the road and pounded Westmoreland 17-4 Friday, March 22. Tana Whited led the assault with a two-run homer in the first, followed by Kaity Woodalls three-run blast in the third.

All told, FCS collected 16 hits against the Eagles, more than enough support for pitcher Courtney Petty. The ninth-grader worked five innings, allowed just two hits, walked two and struck out five batters.

FCS improved to 3-6 overall with the win and stands 2-0 in District 8A.

WHS hosts Macon County todayWatertown Highs softball team is scheduled to host Macon County High today at Three Forks Park. First pitch is set for the doubleheader for 5 p.m. The Lady Tigers dropped to 1-3 on the season following Saturdays 7-4 loss to Donelson Christian.

LHS hosts PHS ThursdayLebanon High is on tap to host District 9AAa rival Portland High Thursday at 5 p.m.

Later in the week, LHS is slated to participate in Riverdales Lady Warrior Southern Classic with a pair of games Good Friday, March 29. Lebanon will play Genesco, Ill at 11 a.m. Friday, followed by a 1 p.m. game vs. Marion County. Both Friday games will be played at Siegel High School.

On Saturday, March 30, the action will move to Independence High in Thompsons Station where LHS takes on Columbia Central at 11 a.m., then plays Munford at 1 p.m. Pool play ends at 5 p.m. as Lebanon battles host Independence High.

MJCA hosts SAS ThursdayMt. Juliet Christian Academy will host St. Andrews - Sewanee Thursday at 4 p.m. for a Division II East-Middle game. The Lady Saints were forced to postpone Mondays home game with University School of Nashville due to wet grounds.

On Saturday, March 23, MJ Christian dropped a 13-1 decision to Zion Christian in Columbia.

Monday, May 1, MJCA plans a dedication ceremony for the new fieldhouse / hitting facility located adjacent to Suey Field.
