Lebanon at Mt. Juliet
Cross county rivals Lebanon and Mt. Juliet will lock horns tonight for the 40th consecutive season since the rivalry was renewed back in 1977.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Mt. Juliet with homecoming ceremonies slated for 6:30 p.m.
Live radio coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. on WANT FM-98.9.
The rivalry has ebbed back and forth through the years with Mt. Juliet winning each of the last seven meetings -- and holding a 24-15 series advantage since 1977.
Mt. Juliet prevailed in 2015 -- winning 35-0 at Tribble Field / Watkins Stadium.
Lebanon's last victory in the series came in 2008, a 41-21 win at Mt. Juliet.
However, tonight's contest marks the "rubber game" of the all-time series that began back in 1924 with a 77-0 Lebanon victory.
Believe it or not -- this game marks the 51st all-time meeting of the two programs with the series deadlocked at 25-25.
The Golden Bears prsently stand 2-2 and are coming off a 41-7 win at Franklin County High as eight MJHS backs cranked out over 300 yards rushing.
LHS is 0-3 after a 44-6 loss a Summit High a week ago.
Mt. Juliet and Lebanon both sport 0-1 records in Region 3, 6A.
Other local games tonight include:

Knox Webb at Friendship Christian
Friendship Christian springs back into action tonight as the Commanders host Knoxville Webb.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Pirtle Field.
FCS was idle last week and stands 1-2 on the season after winning 45-18 at The King's Academy back on Sept. 2.
Webb improved to 2-1 on the season after surviving a 35-33 shoot-out with Christian Academy of Knoxville.
Both teams sport identical 1-0 records against East-Middle District 1A competition.

McGavock at Wilson Central
Wilson Central will put a perfect 4-0 record on the line this evening as McGavock provides the opposition.
Presentation of the homecoming court is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. with kickoff set for 7 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
Coach Brad Dedman's team prevailed over winless Siegel last week 23-17 -- Wilson Central's closest margin of victory so far.
The Raiders come in 1-3 overall on the heels of a 50-14 loss last week to Cane Ridge.
Both squads are 1-0 in Region 3, 6A.

Watertown at Jackson County
Undefeated Watertown makes the trip to Gainesboro this evening to take on Jackson County High in a Region 4, 2A showdown.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. The Purple Tigers stand 4-0 on the season and have averaged a shade over 49 points per game while surrendering 13.25 ppg.
The Blue Devils opened the season 3-0, then dropped a 62-42 contest to Macon County a week ago.
Both programs are 1-0 in the region.

Mt. Juliet Christian at FRA
Mt. Juliet Christian Academy steps out of the East-Middle District for tonight's game at Franklin road Academy.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at the George A. Volkert Athletic Complex.
The Saints sport a record of 3-1 overall and are fresh off a lopsided 60-7 victory at Houston County -- a game that saw tailback Austin Collier rush for 230 yards and score six touchdowns.
The Panthers stand 0-3 following a 35-10 loss a week ago to Goodpasture.
