From Post staff reports
Authorities have ruled the death of 18 year-old Jordan Jair Rashan Turner, struck by the Music City Star near Mt. Juliet Elementary School Thursday afternoon, as a suicide.

Turner, a 2010 graduate of Mt. Juliet High and a freshman at Middle Tennessee State University, died instantly when he walked into the path of the East-bound commuter train.

The train was bringing commuters back to stops in Mt. Juliet and Lebanon from Nashville when the incident occurred. None of the passengers on board were injured, a Mt. Juliet Police official said. They caught buses which took them to the train stations where their vehicles were parked.

A second train had to stop at the Hermitage Station where commuters were also put on buses to be taken to other stations where their vehicles were.
