The Justified Riding Club will host a two-day ride and "Cruz In" on Saturday and Sunday to raise funds for the young victim of an ATV accident and in memory of longtime fellow rider Scott Allmon.

The event will represent the second annual benefit ride for six-year-old Izzy Gates, who lost her leg in a four-wheeler accident last year. All proceeds from the ride and "Cruz In" will benefit the Izzy Gates Fund.

The weekend's events will also serve as a memorial to Allmon.

"Last year, after our benefit ride when we were leaving we lost a fellow rider ... Scott Allmon," Justified Riding Club Communications Officer Gail Lyons said.

On Saturday, Oct. 3, the riding club will host the "Cruz In" at AJ's Bar and Grill starting at noon. It is open to cars, trucks, rat rods, jeeps, rock climbers - vehicles of all kinds. There will be live music, and food will be available for purchase.

The Sunday Poker Run/Memorial Ride will leave from the Shell Station in Gordonsville at noon. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. for the bike/car run. Cost is $20 per bike, $30 double, $20 per carload. The five-stop run will conclude at Defeated Creek in Smith County. Following the Poker Run, the riding club plans to erect a monument at the site where Allmon lost his life.
