Nationals go as district champions
Both Lebanon Youth Baseball 11-12 all-star teams have earned berths in the Ozone State tournament which opens Thursday, July 14 in Loretta.
The Lebanon Americans reached the finals of the South District tournament in East Robertson, falling to Springfield 11-5 in the July 4 championship game. Jackson Lea had a pair of hits for the Americans in the loss.
Lebanon reached the championship game with a 15-1 victory over host East Robertson on Sunday.
Bryce Fuller and Brody Hays each had three hits for the winners while Grafton Baines had a pair of hits.
Fuller and Austin Weatherford shared the pitching duties, allowing only three base runners.
American team members include: Brody Hays, Isaiah Douglas, Jackson Lea, Parker Walden, Colten Hendrix, Bryce Fuller, Ian Walsh, JaLyric Dillard, Austin Weatherford, Grafton Baines, Brody Hall and Anthony Paponetti.
The Lebanon Nationals all-star squad rolled through the North District tournament in Ashland City, going 4-0 and knocking off White House 14-4 in the championship game.
The Nationals reached the finals with a lopsided 16-0 victory over Joelton in Sunday's semifinals.
Earlier in the tournament, Lebanon rolled to a 23-0 win over Parkwood in three innings.
In Friday's district opener, Lebanon blanked Greenbrier 15-0 as Brett Bowman and Denton Dodson each had two hits.
Kendal Bayse (two innings) and Dodson (one inning) combined for a three-inning no-hitter.
National team members include: Jake Jewell, Emilio Jimenez, Kaden Seay, Jaylen Abston, Brett Bowman, Denton Dodson, Bryce Kelley, Sam Parish, Ian Fryer, Storm Sellars, Kendal Bayse and Hunter Williams.
