BULLETIN -- Rescue workers recovered the body of a 2014 Watertown High graduate from the waters of Old Hickory Lake near Misty Cove early Monday morning.

Kent O. Foster, 17, was swimming with a group of friends sometime after Midnight when he drowned.

Foster, a member of the Purple Tiger football team, had planned on attending Tennessee Tech University this fall. His body was recovered around 2 a.m. Monday morning.

"We have lost an outstanding young man, but heaven has gained another angel," said Watertown Mayor Mike Jennings.

"While I suspect all the angels are happy, none will be happier than Kent. I never saw him when he wasn't happy, and he always had a little smile."

More details as they become available.
