Weather concerns cancel HR Derby
LEBANON -- Weather concerns have forced organizers to alter plans for Saturday's fifth annual MidTN Senior All-Star Baseball Classic at Lebanon High's Brent Foster Field.
The all-star games have been moved up and the Old Hickory Bats Home Run Derby has been canceled.
Here's the new schedule:
Saturday, June 3
10 am Class AA v. Class AAA
1 pm Division II v. Class A
Four recent high school graduates who starred for their respective prep baseball teams will in in action Saturday as Lebanon High's Brent Foster Field will host the fifth annual MidTN Senior All-Star Baseball Classic and Home Run Derby.
Presented TopTenn Baseball, the event had been staged for the first four years at Cumberland University's Stockton Field - Woody Hunt Stadium.
Lebanon High graduates Bryce Lester and Chase Andrews are slated to play for the Class AAA team while Friendship Christian School grads Joseph McNamee and Jackson Vance will play for the Division II squad.
Teams representing each of the four classifications (Class A, AA, AAA and Division II) from the Middle Tennessee districts/regions will play in an MLB-style All-Star game.
MVP's of each game will be presented with a personalized bat from Old Hickory Bat Company.
At the conclusion of each game, three finalist from each classification will be introduced as MidTN Senior Player of the Year Finalist.
The MidTN POY will be awarded with a personalized engraved bat courtesy of Old Hickory Bat Co., with the remaining finalists will be presented with plaques courtesy of the Tennessee Baseball Coach Association.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students.

This is not a TSSAA sponsored event. No TSSAA or school passes will be honored.
