Vaden named county's top lineman

Tigers hold football banquet
Watertown High's football team celebrated the 2015 season with a banquet Thursday, Jan. 14 in the school cafeteria.

The Purple Tigers finished second in District 4, 2A and ended the season 8-3 overall.

Award winners included:
Scout team player, Zach Hill;
Most improved, Dalton Tarpley;
O-Lineman, Rusty Staats;
D-Lineman, James Vaden;
Purple Tiger Award, Zack Grisham;
Explosive Player, Skylor Scales;
Playmaker, Vonte Bates;
Defensive Player of the Year, Brady Swann;
Offensive Player of the Year, Seth Price and
Most Valuable Player, Luke Turner.

Vaden receieved a plaque from Beau Massengille, JM Insurance, for being named Wilson County's Lineman of the Year.

Massengille also presented a $500 donation to the WHS football program in Vaden's name.
