Vehicle testing to resume Sept. 4

Envirotest, a leading provider of vehicle emissions testing and inspection, has a contract with the State of Tennessee to test automobiles for the improvement of air quality in four Middle Tennessee counties as required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to meet the Clean Air Act.

Auto emissions testing has proven effective in helping Tennessee improve its air quality, Say said.

Normal hours of operation and testing center locations for Middle Tennessee are:

Rutherford County (Murfreesboro), Sumner County (Gallatin), Williamson County (Franklin) and Wilson County (Lebanon) are open Monday and Tuesday 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Closed Sunday.
Smyrna Station is open Monday and Tuesday 7 6 p.m., Wednesday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday.
