Wallace Lee Armistead, 75

Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home for Mr. Armistead, 75, of Lebanon. Born in Smith County, he died Feb. 12, 2014 at his home.

The son of the Late Melvin and Kate Farmer Armistead, he was retired from Ross Gear and attended Bethany Missionary Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held Friday between the hours of 2-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Saturday. Services will be conducted by Elder Charles Allen Gentry and Elder James Gibbs. Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include: wife Sharon Moore two children Elder Ronnie (Barbara) Armistead and Kelley Ann (Lee Garner) Armistead; four grandchildren Bruce and Crystal Garner, Allen Bentley and Jack Schaffner; great-grandchild Hunter Hix.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Armistead is preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Overstreet Armistead; son Danny Todd Armistead; and sisters Wilma Lois Summers and Inez Shores. 

Active pallbearers include: Randy Anderson, Harold Moore, Jack Schaffner, Bruce Garner, Allen Bentley, Steve Shores, Chris Hix and Jimmy Warren.

Lebanon's Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
