Watertown hosts FCS tonight

One of Middle Tennessees most heated rivalries will be renewed tonight as No. 7-ranked and league leading Watertown plays host to District 8A rival Friendship Christian. Girls action will tip at 6 p.m. and if history is any indication, fans better plan on arriving early in order to snag a parking spot on campus.

Coach Matt Bradshaws Watertown Tigers enter tonights game 20-3 on the season (5-0 in 8A) after a 76-57 victory Tuesday over Jackson County. Macieo Gaines led the way with 23 points and Ethan Moss added 16.

Friendship Christian, the defending Class A state champs, comes in 6-12 overall and 3-4 in the league following a 59-44 win at Red Boiling Springs Tuesday. Allen Heaston exploded for 31 points against the Bulldogs while Anthony Williams chipped in with nine.

Williams breaks 1,000 pt. mark --
Wilson Central junior guard Jacob Williams will be recognized between games of tonight's District 9AAA twinbill with Station Camp for breaking the 1,000 point barrier. Williams scored 23 points in Tuesdays 63-55 win at Gallatin.

(girls) WCHS 49, Gallatin 39
Autumn Hopkins connected on three 3-points and finished with 19 points to help lead Wilson Central past Gallatin 49-39 Tuesday. The Lady Cats improved to 10-11 overall and 6-5 in District 9AAA play with the win.

(boys) WCHS 63, Gallatin 55
Junior guard Jacob Williams had 23 points while Blake Huffman added 15 as Wilson Central went on the road and held off Gallatin 63-55 Tuesday. The Wildcats upped their record to 18-6 overall / 8-3 in District 9AAA. Central hosts Station Camp tonight.

(girls) Station Camp 61, Lebanon 50
Lebanon dropped to 12-11 overall / 7-4 in District 9AAA following Tuesday nights 61-50 loss at Station Camp. Madison Sloan had 11, Kelsey Yarborugh and Julia Fox 10 each.

(boys) Station Camp 46, Lebanon 44 -- Station Camp scored in the final six seconds to lift the Bison to a 46-44 win over Lebanon Tuesday. Julien Crutchfield led the Blue Devils with 12 points while KeShawn Abston and DaShawn McMurray each had eight. LHS fell to 8-15 overall / 4-7 in 9AAA. Lebanon plays at Gallatin tonight.

(girls) MJ Christian 47, SAS 20
Lynnzee Ethridge had 19 and Lauren Wankel 12 in Mt. Juliet Christians 47-20 victory Tuesday at St. Andrews-Sewanee. MJCA improved to 9-12 overall / 4-5 in Division II, District 1A.

(boys) SAS 66, MJCA 61 OT
Brandon Wall had 17 points for MJ Christian in Tuesdays 66-61 overtime loss at St. Andrews-Sewanee. MJCA, now 8-14 / 2-7 in Division II, District 1A will host Donelson Christian tonight.
