Watertown plans July 4 parade

Watertown East Wilson County Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Fourth of July Parade this year on Friday, July 4, at 6 p.m.

The parade will begin at the Watertown Elementary School and run the entire length of Main Street ending at the east end of town. The theme of this year’s parade is "Stars, Stripes and Squirtguns II," and prizes will be awarded for best use of theme and best overall.

There is an entry fee of $25 for political and business entries. Entries from non-profit organizations, schools, churches and non-business individuals are free of charge.

Water guns may ONLY be fired at someone who is armed. No pressure hoses are allowed.

After the parade, enjoy dinner in one of Watertown’s restaurants and then join everyone for fireworks at Three Forks Community Park at dusk.
