With business booming at their main branch at the corner of Castle Heights Blvd. and West Main Street in Lebanon, Wilson Bank & Trust will be opening a new bank branch inside the current office.
"With the outpouring of support from the community, we are pleased to offer another branch for their convenience," said Scott Jasper, senior vice president for the bank.
The new branch will open inside the current main branch facility.
"We have done extensive research and found that just about everyone who walks in through the front door is a Wilson Bank customer or wants to do business with us," Jasper said. "It only makes sense to open a branch where our customers are."
To make space for the new branch, company officials said they would have to lay off 20 employees at the main office. The good news is that the new branch will then hire those 20 laid off employees and reinstate their positions within the new branch.
"Customers will now be able to make deposits, withdrawals, apply for loans, manage their investments and all of the other core functions we offer at the new branch," he added.
"Our customers always come first, and we have always been overwhelmed by the support from the Wilson County community. Growth has been good to us."
He gave no timeline for the project to begin.
