The Aviators had mounted a 24-8 lead at intermission, but Carroll-Oakland tailback Vincent Floyd rallied the troops in the second half -- scoring touchdowns on runs of 57, 24 and four years -- pushing the Eagles ahead 26-24.

Gardner intercepted a late, last ditch pass attempt by C-O, allowing Winfree Bryant to run out the clock on a kneel down.

Carroll-Oakland will be back in action Tuesday, Sept. 10 as they travel to Carthage to take on Smith County Middle School.
