WC track records shattered

March 25 at Hardin Valley High -
KNOXVILLE -- Several new records were established Saturday, March 25 as Wilson Central's track & field team competed in the Hardin Valley Invitational.

Freshman Jaycie Hitt set a school record girls' long jump at 15' 5".

Junior Garrett Todd set a school record boys' long jump with a leap of 20' 4".

Junior Kolin Miller established a new school record in discus breaking his brothers' record with a 146'2" throw, and earned a medal.

Baylor Franklin finished first with a school record 800 meter time of 1:57 ranking him first in the state of Tennessee so far this year.

Joel Barlow took home first place honors with a school record 3200 meter time of 9:29 -- ranking him first in the state so far this year.

WC's 4 X 800 relay team set a new school outdoor record with a time of 8:30. Relay members include: John Elrod, Franklin, Barlow and Nathan Peterson.
