GLADEVILLE -- Wilson Central won the Region 7-AAA Duals Championship Thursday night in quick fashion, defeating West Creek 61-15 in the semifinals, then being awarded the title as Beech opted to forfeit in the finals.

Nine Wildcat grapplers recorded pins in the semifinals against West Creek, leading the program to a third consecutive trip to the State Duals in Franklin Friday, Jan. 31 at the Williamson County Ag Expo Center.

"I am proud of the wrestlers in this program who were able to make the move to a new region and dominate the way that they did," said Wilson Central coach John Kramer. "This group is a testimony to what dedication and hard work can do for you."

Beech topped Clarksville 37-34 in the other semifinal match, then opted to forfeit in the finals. As a regional finalist, the Bucs will still advance to the State Duals in Franklin.
