Tournament MVP Jacob Williams scored nine points in the final eight minutes. Williams had four 3-pointers on the way to a game-high 25 points. Matthew Hall added 12 points while Ben Palmer and Deante Miller each scored eight. Trae Hatcher led the Bison with 17 points.
Blake Huffman and Palmer were named to the all-tournament team from WCHS.
CONSOLATION FINALHendersonville 80, Mt. Juliet 43GALLATIN -- Top-seeded Hendersonville might not have finished the District 9AAA Tournament as champions, but the Commandos put an emphatic stamp on third place.
Behind 22 points from David Sheehan and six 3-pointers as a team, Hendersonville (20-6) cruised to an 80-43 victory in Tuesday's consolation final at Station Camp. The 80 points are a season high.
With the win, Hendersonville will travel to Kenwood for a 7 p.m. Saturday game to begin the Region 5AAA Tournament. Kenwood lost 62-52 to Dickson County in the District 10AAA title game on Tuesday.
Mt. Juliet (17-12) will travel to Dickson County to begin its region tourney.
Sheehan had nine of the 22 in the first quarter, while John Davis added nine of his 11 in the opening quarter as Hendersonville built an 18-13 lead.
The Commandos knocked down three of the six 3s in the second quarter as Jacob McCullough had two and Braden White added another. Hendersonville gave up another 13 points to Mt. Juliet, but scored 22 of its own to push the lead to 40-26 at halftime.
Another 18-point quarter to open the second half, followed by another 22 points quarter gave the Commandos the 80 points. Meanwhile, they held Mt. Juliet to single digits in both second-half quarters - eight and nine.
Reagan Johnson paced Mt. Juliet with 16 points while John Mark Bell added nine.
