WC's Preston Reed

Wilson Central’s all-star defensive end Preston Reed has committed to Tennessee Tech and will sign an NCAA National Letter of Intent with the Golden Eagles on National Signing Day, Wednesday, Feb. 4.
A two-time District 9-AAA Defensive Lineman of the Year and Wilson County Lineman of the Year this past season, Reed was a one-man wrecking crew for the Wildcats.
As a senior, the 6-5 Reed recorded 12 quarterback sacks, 12 tackles for loss, blocked two punt, two field goals, deflected 18 passes and forced two fumbles. All told, he was in on 75 tackles in 11 games.
Reed played in the Toyota East / West All-Star game the second week of December and blocked a punt.
He also served as Wilson Central’s long snapper, giving him extra value for the Golden Eagles.
